Cards, qualifications and safety

NPORS

Training and testing by qualified, experienced instructors — at the training facilities we use, or at your workplace where the machinery is available.

Accredited Training Provider

CPCS

The Construction Plant Competence Scheme: a card scheme designed to prove the skills of plant operators, based on competence and health and safety awareness.

Card scheme

NVQs

A huge range of NVQ qualifications across all occupational trades, from operative through to senior management, with our own assessor services.

Levels 2–7

Health & safety site audits

A NEBOSH-qualified advisor walks your site, reports what needs attention and tells you how to put it right. Book it as a one-off or bring us back as often as you need.

NEBOSH-qualified advisors

NEBOSH advice

Our in-house advisors are NEBOSH qualified. Use them for ongoing advice, or for the training they deliver themselves — face fit testing and confined spaces among it.

Advice & training

In-house short courses

Manual handling, confined spaces, abrasive wheels, face fit testing, asbestos awareness and more, run at your premises or ours and built around the work your people do.

Built to order

Health & safety, run in house

Short courses delivered at your premises or at the facilities we use, built around the work your people actually do. Where a course carries an official NPORS category the code is shown; the rest are certificated in house. This isn’t the full list — if you need something that isn’t here, ask.

Before you book

Do I need experience to book a course?

No. Novice routes are available for anyone with no prior experience, and experienced operators can take a shorter test-only or refresher route instead. Tell us the operator’s background and we’ll tell you which route applies.

Do you come to us, or do we come to you?

Either. Training and testing runs at the training facilities we use, or at your own workplace where the necessary machinery is available. On-site delivery is available UK-wide and is usually easier for a crew.

What’s the difference between NPORS and CPCS?

Both are recognised UK card schemes proving an operator’s competence and health and safety awareness. Which one you need usually comes down to what your site or principal contractor asks for.

How much does a course cost?

It depends on the category, the route, how many people you’re putting through and whether we travel to you. Call or email with those details and we’ll quote you properly.

Who are the instructors?

Every course is delivered by an instructor holding current NPORS instructor approval for that category — we hold approval across all forty listed above. Health and safety courses and site audits are delivered by our in-house NEBOSH-qualified advisors.
